It’s Learning at Work Week and we are excited to mark the event by encouraging our employees to develop their career by funding nationally-recognised training courses through Career Choice.

The innovative Amazon Career Choice programme was established to encourage employees to pursue qualifications and training in high-demand fields such as engineering, IT, computer science, mechanical and electrical trades, healthcare, construction, transportation, logistics, accounting and more, even if that means a career outside of Amazon. Amazon offers to pre-pay 95% of tuition and associated fees for nationally-recognised courses, up to £8,000 over four years.

I think the Career Choice programme is a brilliant idea. It’s a great opportunity to expand your career and improve your knowledge base.
Florence Chambers, Amazon, Rugeley

Florence Chambers from Amazon in Rugeley is one of hundreds of Amazon employees across the country taking part in the Career Choice programme and is now urging others to participate in the rewarding experience.

Born and raised in Rugeley, Florence has worked at Amazon since November 2014 and is pursuing a CIPD Level 5 Certificate through Career Choice at Walsall College.

“I think the Career Choice programme is a brilliant idea. It’s a great opportunity to expand your career and improve your knowledge base," said Florence. “I’ve never seen a company offer this programme, and I jumped at the opportunity when I learned about. I also decided to do the programme with some of my team members, so it is nice to see everyone progress together. I really enjoy working with people at Amazon and look forward to seeing where my new skillset takes my career.”
