Our Amazon 4-star stores offer customers a curated selection of the top products from Amazon.co.uk, across a range of categories. Every product featured in the store has been rated 4 stars and above, is a top seller, or is trending on Amazon.co.uk.

This new store allows customers to discover the best of Amazon.co.uk all in one place, as well as offering in-store pickup and returns, which makes it a perfect stop for shoppers this Christmas. Our bright, friendly team of employees working across our Amazon 4-star stores in Bluewater Shopping Centre and Westfield London are there to help every step of the way, from product recommendations to device demonstrations, they’re there to make your shopping experience as easy as can be.

We caught up with some of the team ahead of their first Amazon 4-star Christmas season to see what’s on their wish lists, and any insider tips they have for customers heading to the stores.

What’s on your Wish List?

“I’m hoping for an Echo Show 10 this year. The rotating screen would be so helpful as I’m baking new recipes that I’m following on the screen.”

Doris joined the second Amazon 4-star store as a team leader and is responsible for managing the store team, training new employees and briefing the team on upcoming events at the store. Doris is also a keen baker and runs her own bakery company on the side, having been encouraged by friends to start her business during lockdown.

Doris says, “What surprised me was how many opportunities there are within the Amazon company. There are thousands of different career paths – it's amazing to see so many possibilities."

"What I love most about my job, though, is my team. I’ve never had a team like this and I love it.”

Doris takes pride in being the first member of her family to be born in the UK. She grew up in Hackney, where her mother still lives, and enjoys updating her three older siblings in West Ghana on her latest achievements.

What’s on your Wish List?

“I love to cook and entertain so right now, I’ve got my eyes on the VonShef collection we have available in our store!”

Laurentiu is originally from Romania but has been living in London for the last 16 years. He has been working in retail for the past 7 years and worked as a sales supervisor prior to joining Amazon.

Laurentiu loves working in the 4-star store. His favourite part about his job is working with the best team and helping customers as they shop the store for the very first time.

Laurentiu says, “Everything was surprising about the job! The training was amazing and very informative, the concept had me excited from the first time I heard about it and the people are just amazing!”

One thing that Laurentiu wants people to know about the 4-star store is that customers can trust employees when it comes to recommending products. Customers' needs are at the forefront of what they do and they’ll make sure to recommend the perfect item.

Any gift recommendations?

“Well, my mother might be opening a Ring Video Doorbell this year so it’s what I’ve been recommending to customers!”

Before joining the Amazon store team, Zeynep worked as a high street and travel retail manager for many years. Her favourite part of her role at the Amazon store is connecting with her team, “I love training my team and it is very satisfying to see them grow in their position. I also enjoy connecting with customers, there is always such a great buzz in the store!” For Zeynep, although a typical day may come with different challenges, her priority is always the customers and how to give them the best service during their visit.

Zeynep takes pride in her physical wellbeing and regularly attends Pilates class after work as a way to unwind from the day. She is also an avid fan of classical music and opera and always finds time to visit her favourite spot in London — the Royal Albert Hall. Her favourite city of music, however, is Milan. She says, “My favourite place is Teatro alla Scala in Milan. It is one of the most fascinating opera houses I have ever been to. I go to Milan at least twice a year!”
