Amazon offers guided tours of our fulfilment centres so anyone can see for themselves how people working at Amazon are innovating on behalf of customers and delivering for them every day.

During the tour, visitors will have the chance to take a close look at the daily job of employees at work, as well as observing many of the key processes and technologies of the fulfilment centre, from picking – retrieving ordered items from the shelves – to packing, where items are carefully parcelled up in Amazon’s famous brown boxes before being sent on their way to customers.

Friends and family take the inaugural tour

Since March 2015, customers have been invited to take a look behind the scenes of Amazon’s operations by taking an Amazon Public Tour. Intrigued by how Amazon prepares customer orders, over 10,000 visitors - from school classes and Rotary Club members to sellers and customers - have come through the doors of the fulfilment centres in Rugeley, Hemel Hempstead, Dunfermline and , since 2018 , the Amazon Robotics fulfilment centres in Manchester and Tilbury to see for themselves the magic combination of Amazon’s people working with innovative technology.

Anyone over the age of six who is curious to discover first-hand what happens in Amazon’s fulfilment centres can register for one of our tours.
