Amazon offers guided tours of our fulfilment centres so anyone can see for themselves how people working at Amazon are innovating on behalf of customers and delivering for them every day.
During the tour, visitors will have the chance to take a close look at the daily job of employees at work, as well as observing many of the key processes and technologies of the fulfilment centre, from picking – retrieving ordered items from the shelves – to packing, where items are carefully parcelled up in Amazon’s famous brown boxes before being sent on their way to customers.
Friends and family take the inaugural tour
The Rugeley site opened its doors to visitors for the first time on the 28th of February 2015. Welcoming more than 150 friends and family of employees working there, as well as representatives from the local council and nearby Chancel Primary School. For many of them it was a unique opportunity to gain a better idea of the roles their loved ones carry out in the fulfilment centre on a daily basis. Public tours are now also available at the Hemel Hempstead site.
Anyone over the age of six who is curious to discover first-hand what happens in Amazon’s fulfilment centres can register for one of these special tours below.
