On Saturday we were thrilled to have 140 people from across Amazon join the Pride parade in London to celebrate and show our support for the LGBT+ community here and around the world.

At Amazon we celebrated pride this year with a whole host of events run by glamazon, our LGBT+ employee group. Glamazon decorated all of our corporate buildings in London; hosted a pre-Pride extravaganza at our head office with special guests and performers; fundraised for charities and invited all corporate employees to enjoy a slice of rainbow cake while talking to glamazon about what it means to them to have an open and diverse workplace.

At the parade, members of glamazon and lots of our allies marched with thousands of others listening to hits from Amazon Music - the event’s first official music partner.

“We had over 140 people who identify themselves as LGBT+, allies, friends and families march with us, representing different communities at Amazon and embracing the true spirit of togetherness,” said Luca Sale, co-chair of the UK glamazon board. “It was fantastic to help recognise and celebrate the LGBT+ community and the important role diversity plays in our communities and our business.”
