Amazon UK expands commitment to gender diversity through membership of Business in the Community’s gender equality campaign
Member organisations across the country are joining forces, under the Business in the Community campaign, to maximise women’s success at work. The campaign aims to drive further opportunities for women in the workforce, improving recruitment and retention levels, and ultimately, contributing to business success as a whole.
Specific strategic focuses of the gender equality campaign include: the promotion of fair, equal and unbiased recruitment, promotion and reward systems; the creation of safe, inclusive and agile work environments in which all talent can thrive; and ensuring that access to and choice, type and status of work are influenced by capability, not gender. All these are important parts of Amazon’s broader efforts to ensure that we operate in the most efficient way possible and that we offer a great place to work.
