Every year, WeAreTechWomen showcases 100 women in STEM careers with their TechWomen100 Awards. The winners of these awards have displayed remarkable achievements in the technology sector across a variety of roles, from software developers to aircraft engineers.

We are delighted to report that Amazon employees Ramat Tejani and Suzie Miller were recognised among the TechWomen100 Awards 2019.

Suzie Miller

Suzie Miller, Solutions Architect, AWS

During her 20-year career in IT, Suzie has mentored and trained many people at various stages of their careers who are looking to develop their tech and IT skills.

At Amazon, Suzie helped to launch and now leads the company’s People With Disabilities affinity group in the UK. The employee-led group supports those who live with disabilities, and their families or friends.

Suzie is hugely passionate about championing issues that impact those living with disabilities. For example, she is a proud advocate for the importance of inclusive and accessible design in digital technology.

It’s important to understand that disability comes in many different forms and no individual has full capability for every activity throughout their life. Disability can affect any of us.
Suzie Miller, Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services

Suzie volunteers as an Independent Visitor with Action for Children, where she dedicates time to visiting children and young people with disabilities. She helps them to engage in new experiences, shares her own interests and, most importantly, helps them to have fun.
