Amazon named winner of Retail Week Consumer Choice Award
We are delighted to have been named as winners of the Consumer Choice Award at the Retail Week Awards 2020.
The award winner is decided by customers who vote for their favourite UK retailer – so we want to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everybody who voted for Amazon this year!For over 25 years, the Retail Week Awards have celebrated the creativity, innovation and excellence of the UK retail industry.
Customer obsession is one of four core principles that guide us in delivering on our mission. That means we always start with the customer and work backwards whenever we are innovating and building on their behalf. We work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust.
Customer obsession is also the first of Amazon’s 14 Leadership Principles, which define our inclusive, meritocratic working culture. In that way, customer obsession drives our ambition to constantly improve our customers’ experience.
Earlier this year, Amazon also topped a ranking for ‘Best Customer Service of the Decade’ by the Institute for Customer Service. The ranking was determined by polls taken from 10,000 customers every six months.
Last year, we were awarded ‘Best Online Retailer’ of 2019 at the TechRadar Mobile Choice Consumer Awards, as well as ranking number one on Opinium’s Most Connected Brands Index for the second year running.We were also named the UK’s most popular employer by both LinkedIn and Glassdoor, underlining our belief that employee satisfaction has a direct impact on customer experience.
